🦃 Thanksgiving Jerk Turkey

Whole Turkey

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook Time: 3–3½ hours

Servings: 10–12

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole turkey (10–14 lbs), cleaned and patted dry
  • 6–8 tbsp Truly Delicious Foods Jerk Seasoning (Mild or Hot)
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil or melted butter
  • 2 tsp salt (optional)
  • 1 lime or lemon (for cleaning turkey)

Instructions:

  1. Clean & Prepare
    Rub turkey with lime or lemon, rinse, and pat dry.

    Gently loosen skin over the breast and thighs using your fingers.
  2. Season
    Mix jerk seasoning and oil or butter.

    Rub mixture under the skin, inside the cavity, and all over the outside.

    Marinate overnight (covered in the fridge).
  3. Roast
    Preheat oven to 325°F.

    Place turkey breast-side up on a rack in a roasting pan.

    Cover loosely with foil and roast 2½ hours.

    Remove foil, baste with pan juices, and roast another 45–60 minutes until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F in the thickest part of the breast.
  4. Rest & Serve
    Let turkey rest 20–30 minutes before carving.

    Serve with your favorite sides—mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, and cornbread.

Turkey Pieces (Legs, Thighs, or Breast Cuts)

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 45–60 minutes

Servings: 4–6

Ingredients:

  • 3–4 lbs turkey pieces
  • 3–4 tbsp Truly Delicious Foods Jerk Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • Salt (optional)

Instructions:

Oven Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Coat turkey pieces evenly with seasoning and oil.
  3. Arrange on a rack-lined baking sheet, skin side up.
  4. Bake 45–55 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and cooked through (165°F internal temp).
  5. Broil 2–3 minutes for extra crisp skin.

Air Fryer Method:

  1. Preheat to 360°F.
  2. Add seasoned turkey pieces in a single layer.
  3. Air fry 30–40 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  4. Brush lightly with melted butter or oil before the final 5 minutes for a juicy finish.
