Vegan jerk tofu dish with dark brown dipping sauce

🌶️ Jerk Tofu with Dipping Sauce

Marinate Time: 30 minutes overnight is best
Cook Time: 15–20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 block (14 oz) firm or extra-firm tofu
  • 2–3 tablespoons Truly Delicious Foods Jamaican Jerk Seasoning (mild or hot)
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil or oil of choice
  • Salt (optional) to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare tofu:
    Drain and press tofu between paper towels for 10–15 minutes to remove moisture.
  2. Cut and marinate:
    Slice or cube tofu, then toss gently with Truly Delicious Foods Jamaican Jerk Seasoning and oil.

    Let marinate for at least 30 minutes (longer = deeper flavor).

    Choose your cooking method:
    🔥 Air Fryer:

    Preheat to 400°F (200°C).

    Place tofu pieces in a single layer.

    Air fry for 12–15 minutes, shaking halfway through, until crisp and golden.

    🔥 Grill:

    Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high.

    Lightly oil grates to prevent sticking.

    Grill tofu 3–4 minutes per side until grill marks appear and edges are slightly charred.

    🔥 Pan-Fry (optional):

    Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

    Fry tofu 3–4 minutes per side until golden and crisp.
  3. Serve:

    Enjoy hot with the jerk dipping sauce below or over rice and peas, salad, or roasted veggies.

🥣 Jerk Dipping Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Truly Delicious Foods Jamaican Jerk Seasoning
  • 3 tablespoons vegan mayo (or regular mayo if not vegan)
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey (to balance the heat)

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients in a small bowl until smooth and creamy.
  2. Chill for 10–15 minutes before serving.
